The Israeli Army Radio reported today that Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, Ron Dermer, made a secret visit to Russia in an attempt to reach a ceasefire in Lebanon, noting that he left for America to discuss the details.

For its part, the newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported that Israel will receive American and Russian guarantees to prevent the rearmament of Hezbollah, and that Syria will be responsible for preventing the transfer of weapons from its territory to Lebanon.

The newspaper added that the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon includes Hezbollah's withdrawal to the north of the Litani River and its non-return to the border, as well as the Israeli army's withdrawal from southern Lebanon to the international border line as part of the agreement.

The Israeli Channel 12 had previously reported that Benjamin Netanyahu's government is considering the possibility of reaching a time-limited ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
