Israeli forces renew their incursion into Quneitra countryside amid tensions

Today, the southern Quneitra countryside witnessed an incursion by Israeli forces. Five military vehicles loaded with soldiers entered the Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi base toward the Rafid-Asha road, setting up a roadblock.

Another force, consisting of five four-wheel-drive military vehicles, also entered the town of Ruwaihinah in the central Quneitra countryside and set up a temporary roadblock, where they searched pedestrians and vehicles. This raised concerns and resentment among residents, amid fears that similar movements would be repeated in the area.

This deployment comes amid heightened tensions in the border areas. No official comment has yet been issued regarding the reasons and background of this deployment.

On August 6, the Quneitra countryside witnessed a deployment of Israeli forces in the area between Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi and Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi. According to information, Israeli forces then blocked the road connecting the towns of Kudna and al-Asbah, restricting movement in the area.

Yesterday, Israeli forces also escalated their air operations in southern Syria, targeting an Internal Security Forces headquarters in the city of Salam in the Quneitra countryside with a drone, causing material damage amid intense Israeli reconnaissance flights
