Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes today targeting the Ali al-Taher heights on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon. This coincided with artillery shelling that struck a number of towns and areas in the south.

Local sources told media outlets that the shelling targeted the vicinity of Doha Kfar Rumman and Tell al-Dabsha, as well as the area between the towns of Beit Yahoun and Barashit, the outskirts of Haris, and Zawtar al-Sharqiya and Mays al-Jabal.

The sources also reported explosions in the towns of Mansouri, Haddatha, and Deir Siryan, and the use of phosphorus shells in the bombardment of the Ali al-Taher heights. No immediate information was available regarding casualties or the extent of the damage.

In a related development, Israeli forces carried out a bombing operation in the town of Qounine and conducted sweeps with heavy machine guns towards Haris, while Mansouri was subjected to artillery shelling and fire from a Merkava tank.

Israeli drones were observed flying over Beirut and its suburbs. One drone dropped a stun grenade on a vehicle in the town of Yater, and another dropped incendiary materials between the towns of Haniyeh and Qleileh, causing a fire.
