Israeli aircraft target weapons depots in Damascus countryside

Last night, Israeli aircraft launched a raid on warehouses near the Sayyida Zeinab area in the Damascus countryside, resulting in successive explosions of the warehouse’s contents.

It also carried out raids on Qaldoun warehouses in the Jayrud area in the Damascus countryside as well, in a continuation of the destruction of Syrian military capabilities, according to the SOHR

Before that, yesterday, Israel carried out raids that were described as “the most violent on Syria since 2012,” on strategic sites on the Syrian coast, including the 23rd Air Defense Brigade, headquartered near the village of Harisoun, in addition to the Isqbala Battalion, Dahr al-Balutiyah, the al-Kharab area, Marsahi, and two sites near Drekesh. Surface-to-surface missile depots and air defenses near the village of Bamlaka, sites north of the Akkar Plain inside Syrian territory, and missile bases in Barrack 107 in the Zama area in the countryside of Tartous.

According to the Syrian Observatory, it left at least 36 civilians injured, as a result of successive explosions in weapons depots that were targeted and the launching of random missiles. It also resulted in major damage to citizens’ homes, and the burning of their property in the village of Bamlaka and the homes located on the Drekesh-Tartous road which was partly closed as a result of these strikes. Israeli raids also targeted the Masyaf area.
