The Israeli army announced the implementation of a military exercise on Thursday in the Red Sea resort city of Eilat.

In a statement released via its "X" platform, the army said the exercise would involve "intensive movements of security, emergency, and rescue forces and vessels," adding that "there is no risk of security incidents, and in the event of any real incident, residents will be notified immediately."

The exercise comes amid heightened alert and mobilization within Israel, due to ongoing regional tensions and the potential threat of a new round of military confrontation with Iran.

This follows a meeting held between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump to discuss negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, during which Netanyahu emphasized the importance of addressing Israel's security needs.
