Israel announces killing seven Hezbollah operatives

The Israeli military announced that it had killed seven Hezbollah members who were transporting weapons near the security zone where Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops are operating in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli military said in a statement today that it had killed seven Hezbollah members who were transporting weapons near the security zone in southern Lebanon.

The statement added: "Earlier today, the Air Force, under the direction of the Egoz Unit, struck and eliminated seven Hezbollah operatives who were transferring weapons into a building in the Al-Manzala area. The building was being used as a combat and observation post monitoring IDF forces. From inside the building, the operatives used the site for military purposes and were preparing to target our forces."

The statement stressed that "the IDF will not allow Hezbollah to threaten the citizens of the State of Israel or its troops and will continue to act to eliminate any threats."

Meanwhile, Lebanese media reported earlier that an Israeli drone dropped leaflets over the town of Al-Mansouri in the Tyre district, urging residents to stay away from the area and avoid approaching the town.
