ISIS uses AI to recruit Britons

A British report revealed that ISIS has exploited artificial intelligence technologies to recruit mercenaries in the United Kingdom by translating and disseminating rapidly spreading propaganda content on social media platforms.

The British newspaper "The Telegraph" revealed that ISIS has resorted to artificial intelligence technologies for the first time in recruitment campaigns targeting British mercenaries, raising concerns within the UK intelligence services.

According to the report, MI5 and MI6 are monitoring the organization's increasing use of artificial intelligence as a propaganda tool, amid fears of a resurgence of ISIS and al-Qaeda activity in the Middle East and the Horn of Africa.

The Director General of MI5, Sir Ken McCallum, said in his annual threat update that "ISIS and al-Qaeda have become more ambitious and are exploiting external instability to encourage potential attackers in the West."

Reports indicate that ISIS has launched a new campaign to recruit foreign mercenaries in Syria using the latest technologies and virtual communication platforms, relying on artificial intelligence tools to translate its documents into dozens of languages and publish them immediately, giving its propaganda global reach before it is detected and removed.
