ISF eliminate ISIS mercenary in NR Syria

The Internal Security Forces in Tal Hamis, North and East Syria, eliminated a mercenary from ISIS sleeper cells who had attacked one of their mobile patrols. The forces confirmed that they are continuing to sweep other areas.

The media center of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria released information on its official website, revealing that one of its mobile patrols and a checkpoint were targeted by ISIS sleeper cells in Jazera Canton, leading to clashes between the forces and the mercenaries. The statement read:

"The areas of North and East Syria are witnessing an increase in ISIS terrorist activity, taking advantage of repeated attacks by the Turkish occupation. During our routine patrols in the city of Tal Hamis, an ISIS cell member riding a motorcycle opened fire on our patrol, prompting our forces to respond and neutralize him. In his possession, we found:

-Four hand grenades

-Medical equipment

-A Kalashnikov rifle

-A 9mm pistol

-A military vest carrying four magazines

-One pair of handcuffs

-Narcotic substances

-$10,900 in cash

"In a separate incident, an ISIS mercenary fired at the 'Rasho' checkpoint in the Tal Brak area of Jazera Canton. No damages were reported, and our forces responded to the source of fire, causing the terrorist to flee. Our forces are currently sweeping the area."

"We, the Internal Security Forces, reaffirm our full commitment to protecting the security and stability of our regions and confronting all terrorist threats."
