Iraqi National Security announces killing ISIS leader in an operation in Deir ez-Zor
The Iraqi National Security Service announced the implementation of an operation in Syria, in which an ISIS mercenary leader was killed.

The agency said in a statement that it carried out a security operation in eastern Syria, after obtaining official approvals and coordination with the International Coalition.
It added, "The operation targeted an ISIS member nicknamed 'Abu Zeinab' after following him for days, and he was killed in a clash after being surrounded in the town of al-Busayra, east of Deir ez-Zor."
The agency stated that "the terrorist worked within the al-Abra detachment on the Iraqi-Syrian border, and participated in several operations on the security forces on al-Siniya Island in Salah al-Din and al-Baaj Island. He was in charge of the (al-Abra Detachment) from Iraq to Syria, in addition to transporting weapons and explosive materials."
