Iran sentenced 10 to death for participation in "Women, Life, Freedom" uprising

 Amnesty International announced in a statement that Iranian authorities arrested 10 individuals who took part in the "Women, Life, Freedom" uprising, which erupted following the killing of Kurdish girl Jina Amini under the pretext of not complying with the "hijab" law. The Iranian court issued death sentences against these citizens who participated in popular protests against the regime, accusing them of committing "murder" during the demonstrations.

 The statement added that these individuals were tortured during interrogations to force them to confess.

 The names of the sentenced detainees are: Fadhel Bahramian, Manouchehr Mohamanavaz, Mehran Bahramian, Milan Armon, Alireza Kafayi, Amir Mohammad Khush, Navid Najaran, Hossein Namati, Alireza, and Mehran Abdolzadeh.

 The statement confirmed that the trials were illegal, as the defendants were deprived of their basic rights to defend themselves and were subjected to pressure and threats in an attempt to coerce them into confessing to the fabricated charges.

 Amnesty International calls on the international community to take urgent action to demand that Iranian authorities halt the execution of these individuals, warning of the increasing arrests and violations against participants in popular protests in Iran.
