Internal Security Forces: 9 militants killed in Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo issued a statement revealing casualties among the ranks of mercenaries of the interim government during their attempt to advance toward the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, noting the continued ground and aerial bombardment.

The statement read as follows:

“Our forces destroyed two armored vehicles with everything inside them and inflicted casualties among the attacking factions of the Damascus government during their attempt to advance on the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo. Clashes are ongoing amid heroic resistance by the Internal Security Forces, in the face of continuous shelling by tanks, artillery, and armed drones carried out by the attacking factions.

The death toll among the attackers so far during these clashes has reached nine militants.”

For the past three days, the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh, and Bani Zaid in Aleppo have been subjected to violent attacks and intense shelling directly targeting civilians by mercenaries of the interim government backed by the Turkish occupation. This has resulted in dozens of civilian casualties, including martyrs and wounded, among them children and women.
