Ilham Ahmed and Mazloum Abdi meet with Nechirvan Barzani
Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, met with Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Federal Region of South Kurdistan, in Erbil.

On Wednesday, the President of the Federal Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, received Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, and Mazloum Abdi, Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in the city of Erbil.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region, "During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in Syria and the relations between the Syrian Democratic Forces and Kurdish political parties in Syria and the Syrian Transitional Government. They also exchanged views on the dangers of terrorism and confronting the threats of ISIS."
During the meeting, the two sides emphasized "the importance of the participation of Kurds and all Syrian components in governing and administering the country, along with the need to guarantee the rights of all political and popular parties within the framework of any future political settlement.
They discussed ways for joint action among Syrian society to maintain security and stability in the region. They also emphasized the need for unity and harmony among Kurdish forces and parties in Syria, as the best way to achieve the legitimate demands and rights of the Kurdish people and strengthen their position in future political negotiations.
