Delegation from DEM meets with Turkish Minister of Justice in Ankara

The meeting is expected to be sensitive, as prominent political and human rights issues related to leader Abdullah Ocalan are being addressed

A delegation from the Peoples' Democracy Party (DEM) is currently holding a meeting with the Turkish Ministry of Justice, where a number of prominent human rights and political issues will be discussed.

The delegation includes the co-chairs of the party's parliamentary group, Gülstan Kılıç Koçekit and Sezai Temelli, along with the spokesperson for the party's Law and Human Rights Committee, Öztürk Türkdoğan.

According to Mezopotamya News Agency, the meeting will address several topics, most notably the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Öcalan, the "right to hope" related to the possibility of reviewing life sentences, the conditions of sick prisoners, the law on the implementation of sentences, and the "counter-terrorism" law.

A dossier containing the most important priority issues related to the developments following the leader's historic appeal on February 27 is also expected to be presented during the meeting
