The convoy of displaced people that departed a few hours ago from the town of Tal Tamr has arrived in their villages in the countryside of Serekaniye, Tal Tamr, and Zerghan . The displaced people have begun entering their homes in preparation for their return and permanent resettlement after years of displacement.

Today, the second convoy of displaced people from Serekaniye, who have been residing in the Serekaniye Camp in the city of Hasakah, set out toward approximately 55 villages in the countryside of the city, as well as in Zerghan and Tal Tamr.

The convoy included approximately 700 families, or nearly 7,000 people, as part of the return of the city’s displaced residents to their areas.

The displaced people arrived in their villages and homes after being displaced from them following the attack launched by the Turkish army and its affiliated factions on October 9, 2019.

The first convoy returned on August 10, traveling from the town of Twaina toward Serekaniye. It included approximately 400 families from the city and its surrounding countryside.
