Hundreds demonstrate in Kobani to denounce Turkish attacks on infrastructure

Today, Hundreds of people from different villages and towns of the Euphrates Canton, gathered in the Free Women's Square in the center of the city of Kobani, to participate in the popular protests called by the Autonomous Administration in the Euphrates Canton, to denounce the attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state yesterday on oil facilities and electrical stations in the Jazera Canton.

The participants carried signs reading, "The Turkish state repeatedly commits war crimes. The Turkish state attacks our daily powers."

The co-chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates Canton, Muhammad Shaheen, gave a speech at the event, in which he said, “The Turkish occupation aims to completely eliminate vital facilities that serve millions of Syrians in the north and east of the country. It is a cycle of violations practiced by the occupation since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, by playing a role in “destroy the infrastructure and cities in the Middle East, in addition to the policy of genocide against the Kurds.”

Yesterday, the Turkish occupation army targeted several facilities in the Jazera Canton, and the bombing focused on the Odeh oil station, which led to a power outage in the villages and towns of the districts of Tirbespiyê, Çil Agha and the city of Derik, as well as the Odeh station in the Tirbespiyê district being out of service, Saeeda station and Bani Shekfti station in the city of Derik were also targeted.
