The People's Defense Forces announced that the Turkish occupation army targeted the war tunnels in the resistance square on Judy Hill on April 11th with internationally banned chemical weapons and explosives, and two HPG fighters, Bessi and Mitra, were martyred.

The People's Defense Forces Press Office (HPG) issued the following statement today regarding the Turkish occupation's attacks on the Mediya Defense Zones:
"As the public knows well, the Kurdistan Freedom Guerrilla has been under a ceasefire since March 1, 2025, yet there has been no alteration in the attacks of the Turkish occupation army, air and ground attacks included. They have recently intensified, particularly, their attacks using chemical weapons and internationally banned explosives on our trenches and tunnels. The Turkish occupation army is unable to shatter the will of our comrades who resist with a spirit of sacrifice and walk in the path of Self-Sacrifice. On April 11, the Turkish occupation army brutally bombed our war tunnels in the resistance square on Judy Hill in the Martyr Dalil area, west of Zap, using chemical weapons and internationally banned explosives, and perpetrated crimes." Against humanity, these attacks martyred our two comrades, Bessi and Mitra, who clashed with the occupiers and made epics of heroism. Through their lives, their fighting, and their resistance, our two martyrs demonstrated to the entire world how difficult it is to crush the determination of the APO combatants and to defeat them. Comprehensive details about the files of our two martyrs will be released in time.
