Health Authority, KRC honor doctors coming from Southern Kurdistan

A medical delegation consisting of 19 doctors from the cities of Sulaymaniyah and Hawler in Southern Kurdistan arrived in Rojava on February 1, in coordination with the Health Authority and the KRC, with the aim of providing humanitarian medical support and services to displaced persons and the wounded in Rojava.

The medical delegation spent two days in the city of Dêrik, where they visited displacement centers, assessed the condition of the wounded, and evaluated their medical needs.

They then proceeded to the city of Qamishlo, where they continued their humanitarian work for two more days, including visits to health centers, displacement centers, as well as the headquarters of the Kurdish Red Crescent and the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in the Jazira.

During their visits, the doctors provided treatment to displaced patients and distributed necessary medicines according to medical needs, aiming to alleviate the suffering of those affected and support the health sector in the canton.

Today, the Health Authority and the KRC honored the medical delegation in recognition of their humanitarian missions and medical efforts carried out over a full week in service of the people of Rojava.

The doctors are scheduled to travel back to Dêrik today, with their return to Southern Kurdistan planned for tomorrow, Saturday.
