National Guard foils field breaches west of Sweida; Frontlines fully stable

The National Guard announced that, from this morning until the afternoon hours, a series of field breaches were attempted by the Temporary Government forces toward the western axes of As-Sweida. These included small-arms fire, mortar shelling, and the use of drones in attempts to destabilize the area.

The command stated that the attacking forces targeted the town of Al-Majdal with eight mortar shells landing in residential neighborhoods, followed by infiltration attempts by groups stationed in the town of Al-Mazra’a. The National Guard units reportedly confronted these breaches and the sources of fire immediately and decisively, with no changes in the situation at the frontlines or contact points.

The National Guard leadership emphasized that any attempt to impose a new reality on the ground or threaten the security of the mountain will be met with a strict response under the forces’ defensive mandate, confirming full readiness to prevent any breach regardless of its form or timing.

The leadership also urged civilians not to pay attention to incitement or fake news pages, and not to share any information not issued by official sources, in order to maintain public awareness and prevent attempts to spread panic or confusion among citizens.
