A wave of crimes and violations committed against Syrian women since the beginning of 2025 reveals a grim outlook for the future. Over 635 women have been killed, and hundreds more have been kidnapped—particularly in the Suwayda and coastal regions—within a deteriorating security environment.

Women in the city of Darbasiyah expressed a deep desire to meet leader Abdullah Ocalan, describing him as a symbol of freedom and peace in the Middle East, and a representative of all oppressed peoples. (Photos and video attached.)

Druze activists from Suwayda called for international intervention and the opening of humanitarian crossings to respond to the catastrophe facing their city due to the shutdown of hospitals and rising death toll. They held the Syrian transitional government fully responsible for recent events and warned of serious political and social consequences. (Photos and video attached.)

Xabat Andok emphasized that the peace process and the democratic society represent the second phase of the movement’s struggle, stressing that building a free and democratic life based on equality is a responsibility of the people and cannot be expected from dominant powers.
