Govet. delegation met Hasaka governor for energy, water, planning sectors integration

The Governor of Hasaka, Noureddine Ahmed, received a government delegation from Damascus specializing in the energy, water, and planning sectors. The delegation included Abbas Hussein, the government-appointed Director of Political Affairs in Hasaka.

The delegation also included Khaled al-Ghazi, representing the Ministry of Energy, along with several officials from the water resources and planning sectors.

ANHA correspondents reported that a meeting was held between the two sides, with the participation of the co-presidency of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, several of their advisors, and administrators from the Autonomous Administration. The meeting focused on mechanisms for integration and cooperation between energy and water resources institutions.

The meeting also included discussions on forming a committee to restructure the administration, with the aim of assessing the needs of the dams and conducting technical studies for their maintenance.

The attendees also addressed the issue of the Alouk water station, emphasizing the need to form a team from the International Committee of the Red Cross to access the station and rehabilitate the power plant in the city of Derbasiya.

For his part, the governor of Hasaka emphasized providing all necessary facilities and cooperation to the committee to expedite the assessment of the region's water resources and dams, and to restart the Alouk water station. He also stressed the importance of the committees formed during previous meetings between the institutions of the Autonomous Administration and the Interim Government to follow up on the integration process.

Participating sources explained that the meeting comes within the framework of the ongoing integration process between the institutions of the Autonomous Administration and the ministries of the Interim Government in Syria, in accordance with the terms of the agreement signed on January 29th between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the government.
