"Goal of region' peoples is one and clear to all"

In support of political detainees in Turkish prisons, who announced a hunger strike on November 27, and to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the end of isolation, hundreds of residents of the Euphrates Canton in the NE region of Syria went on strike in the city of Kobani, over 2 continuous days, December 27 and 28.

A member of the committee organizing the hunger strike event in the “Resistance Tent,” Haji Ql Agassi, explained: “We are here today to assure the conspirators against the leader Abdullah Ocalan that we are continuing with the leader’s approach and philosophy, and we are now struggling to break the isolation imposed on the leader and liberate him physically. No matter how hard the Turkish occupation state intensifies its attacks on our regions, it will not be able to distance us from the path of freedom that the leader has drawn for us with his thought and philosophy.”

Participant in the resistance tent, Gihan Darwish, indicated that they will not depend on anyone to break the isolation imposed on the leader, but rather they rely on their will and the peoples of the region who are yearning for freedom and searching for a decent life. She said: “Today the people of the region gathered in Martyr Agid Square to say their word and expel the occupiers from Kurdistan.

Mustafa Alloush, who also participated in the event, condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the territory of NE Syria, and considered them a Turkish plan to intimidate the people and keep them away from the path of struggle. He stressed: “The goal of the peoples of the region is one and has become clear to everyone, which is to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.”

In turn, participant in the resistance tent, Amina Yassin, called on the peoples of the region who yearn for freedom to escalate the struggle against the Turkish occupation state and its supporters, and said: “The physical freedom of the leader is freedom for all peoples, so it is the duty of every one to remain in the squares today and shout against those conspiring against the leader, to break the isolation imposed on the leader and liberate him physically.”

On the other hand, Hassan Mosh praised the great role played by resistance fighters in the prisons of the Turkish occupation state, and the hope they give to the peoples of the region to challenge authoritarian regimes, and called on the peoples of the region to follow the path of the fighters to physically liberate the leader.
