Goal of international conspiracy is to obscure peace efforts, deepen crises

The Middle East region is still suffering from the repercussions of the international conspiracy targeting Leader Abdullah Ocalan, which led to the emergence of real crises related to the lack of peace efforts, leading to the dominance of authoritarian regimes and sectarian, nationalist and religious forces, in addition to achieving the goals of capitalist countries.

On October 9, 1998, Leader Abdullah Ocalan was subjected to an international conspiracy in which the powers of capitalist modernity and their followers from the nation-states in the region, which implement the policies of the great powers in the region, participated; the conspiracy began on this day with the removal of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from Syria until he was arrested on February 15, 1999; and now, after many years, it is still continuing but in a different form.

The Conspiracy and its Circumstances

Leader Abdullah Ocalan spent nearly 19 years in Syria, but due to the pressures that Syria was exposed to, Leader Abdullah Ocalan had no choice but to leave it; as Turkey threatened Syria, and installed Tomahawk missiles along its borders and threatened to strike and occupy it if Leader Abdullah Ocalan did not leave.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan had only two paths, the first was to head to the mountains of Kurdistan, which would have opened the door to the Kurdish people being subjected to genocide, and the second was to go to Europe in order to struggle democratically and politically; however, many global and regional powers participated together in the conspiracy against him, which began with his exit from Syria, as America, England and Israel were using all methods and pressures on the countries that the leader visited.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan says about the plot that targeted him on October 9: “I see the international conspiracy that brought me to Turkey on February 15, 1999, as one of the most important events in the conspiratorial tradition of the dominant powers. My story, which began on October 9, 1998 with my departure from Syria and my setting foot on Athens, continued with Russia and Italy, and my being forced to return to Russia and Greece again, and then reached its final stage with my kidnapping to Kenya. The reason I call this series of events that included a coalition of international powers from four continents an international conspiracy, is that it is a context woven from political games and economic interests, along with a lot of betrayal, violence and deception.”

What happened after the conspiracy?

The conspiracy coincided with changes in the world and the Middle East, as there was a struggle to rule and dominate the world. This stage was after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, and America was seeking to implement the so-called New Middle East, and wanted to attract Turkey due to its geographical location and regional importance to implement these goals.

The international conspiracy that targeted Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a conspiracy that targeted the entire Middle East, and it is the beginning of Western intervention led by the United States of America in the Middle East after World War II under the pretext of bringing democracy. After the arrest of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, America invaded Iraq in 2003, established military bases in many regions of the Middle East, and forced Syria to give up the Sanjak of Alexandretta in favor of Turkey in 2004, leading to the wave known as the Arab Spring in 2010.

According to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, the nation-state approach in the Middle East is not a source of solutions to fundamental national and social issues, but rather a source of escalation, rooting, aggravation and sterility of these issues. This is because the nation-state does not solve issues, but rather produces them. Moreover, the system itself is not limited to pitting the countries of the Middle East against each other, but is also a means of fueling conflicts between their societies until their forces fail.

Eliminating democracy and promoting racism and division

The physical absence of Leader Abdullah Ocalan from the region was the end of the last strongholds of democracy, pluralism and free thought in the region, for the colonial powers, as all the political systems in the country were deeply entrenched in corruption and alliances with the aim of maintaining power without any effort to confront expansionist ideas and those seeking to establish division.

For example; In Iraq, after the American invasion, sectarian, religious and national quotas were immediately established, which made Iraq until now live in the conflict with religious and sectarian dimensions. This conflict and the feeding of extremist thought, in addition to the attempt of regional powers such as Turkey and Iran to exploit what is happening there to establish their interests, led to the creation of the most powerful "terrorist" organizations in the world, which is ISIS, in addition to other organizations.

In Syria, too, since the departure of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the extremism that has been directed towards the ruling Ba'ath Party in the country, Syria has not witnessed a state of complete and normal stability. It has witnessed several changes, the most prominent of which was the ruling regime’s tendency to reconcile with Turkey through security and military agreements at a time when it refused to reconcile with the Syrian national forces, including the Kurds. This is what caused the accumulation of political, national and sectarian crises, especially after the death of Hafez al-Assad and the assumption of power by his son Bashar al-Assad, which further consolidated the national and sectarian dimension in the country and opened the way largely for Turkey, which exploited this to consolidate its influence inside Syria and give up the Sanjak of Alexandretta. With the outbreak of the so-called Arab Spring, Turkey exploited this to occupy as much Syrian territory as it could under the pretext of supporting the so-called Syrian revolution.

In this context, Leader Abdullah Ocalan says: “What America aimed to achieve through its Greater Middle East project was to expose the rigid nationalisms and nationalist states and push them to clash with each other in order to remain dominant in the Middle East for another century. It seems clear that there is no place for liberation movements in such a project. Therefore, there is a close relationship between the Greater Middle East project of the United States and my surrender to Turkey under a conspiracy. Note that the stage that began in 2003 confirms my words. The fact that we represent the third real alternative that defends the democratic unity of the peoples, in the face of the balance imposed by the forces of international hegemony on the peoples of the Middle East, or the option of local reactionary forces, opened the way for us to be an ideological and political target.”

Conflicts continue until now

Based on the above, it is clear that most of the conflicts and crises witnessed by the region and the world were a conflict between two fronts, the first front that carries liberal ideas and wants to enhance dialogue and understanding between the powers and peoples in the region and the world, away from the efforts of hegemony, tyranny, racism and extremism. This front is represented by the leader Abdullah Ocalan and many peoples, intellectuals, writers and figures around the world who supported his ideas. As for the second front, it consists of political and capitalist systems that want to dominate and control the world by igniting conflicts. In this context, we saw what is happening in Ukraine, where this country was affected by the war and the conflict of hegemony between the Western alliance on the one hand and Russia on the other hand. This was also preceded by the conflict in Armenia and Azerbaijan and how regional and international powers, including Turkey, used this conflict to serve their interests at the expense of the Republic of Karabakh.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan asserts that if these clashes and conflicts had not been provoked, there would have been an Arab homeland ten times the size of Japan in terms of its oil imports alone. He also pointed out that the most important conclusion we can draw from this diagnosis is that the methodology of the nation-state in the Middle East is not a source of solutions to the basic national and social issues, as he claims, but rather a source of escalation, rooting, aggravation and sterility of these issues, and that the nation-state has become a means of fueling conflicts between its societies as well until its forces fail.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan's Thought and the Experience of North and East Syria

As a result of the accumulation in Syria and the Middle East in general, Syria witnessed political, military, security and social conditions that were very complex after 2011, as the takfiri discourse increased and feelings of hatred and extremism increased among the components of the Syrian people, and warnings and fears began about the possibility of a civil war breaking out in the country, in addition to the expansion of extremist and radical organizations, all of which coincided with the escalation of the regional and international conflict on Syrian soil, which made things get somewhat out of control.

But in North and East Syria, the peoples of the region moved towards implementing the theories and ideas of Leader Abdullah Ocalan regarding the brotherhood of peoples and the democratic nation, and took a third path away from sectarian and national conflicts and competition for power as happened in other Syrian regions, and thus racism and extremism were confronted in the region and terrorist organizations were defeated, in addition to building democratic civil institutions managed by representatives of all components and peoples of the region, which proves that Leader Ocalan's ideas are the only ones capable of meeting the aspirations and requirements of the peoples.
