According to various media reports, huge explosions occurred near the Syrian port city of Jableh, caused by unknown drones' attacks, as well as the response of the Syrian air defense.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the unknown drones carried out air strikes targeting an ammunition depot near the city of Jableh, in the countryside of Latakia, near the Russian "Hmemim" air base, which led to its destruction and huge explosions that were heard at great distances.

The Observatory, which said the drones were likely to be "Israeli", noted that this coincided with air defense repelling the attacks for more than 40 minutes.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that "the strikes led to significant destruction in the targeted site in Jableh in the countryside of Latakia amid violent explosions."

The Observatory also reported on Wednesday evening that Hassan Jaafar Kassir, Hassan Nasrallah's brother-in-law, was killed along with another Lebanese in the Israeli raid on a house in the Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus.

According to the Observatory, Israel assassinated Hassan Kassir's brother 2 days ago, who is responsible for transporting weapons for HezbUllah from Syria to Lebanon.
