Germany prepares to deport asylum seekers who committed crimes; Syrians

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt announced that authorities are currently working to organize regular deportations of asylum seekers with criminal records, including Syrians, via chartered and scheduled flights departing periodically.

Dobrindt explained that Berlin will continue its discussions with both Syria and Afghanistan to ensure the smooth and uncomplicated execution of deportations. He emphasized that German society expects those convicted of crimes not to return to German cities after serving their sentences. He added, "We are calling for increased preparedness on the part of the authorities to carry out deportations in response to the legitimate concerns of citizens."

The minister stressed that the process of returning Syrians is not a matter of guilt, saying, "The guilt will not stem from their deportation, but rather from the failure to take sufficient measures to remove those who threaten German society, and we will continue this approach diligently."

Dobrindt indicated that these steps are part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and stability in Germany and to address the growing public concerns about the return of criminals to the country.

The minister emphasized that organized operations and scheduled flights aim to achieve greater transparency and ensure respect for legal procedures during deportation, noting that authorities are developing plans to coordinate efforts with relevant authorities in countries of origin to guarantee smooth and safe deportations.

Dobrindt explained that implementing these procedures also falls within Germany's commitment to international law and human rights, stressing that any deportation will be carried out in accordance with legal regulations and in a manner that protects the rights of all parties involved.

He affirmed that the German government adopts a firm policy towards those who pose a threat to society, emphasizing that strengthening public security and maintaining trust between citizens and authorities is a top priority.
