French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot affirmed that his country will continue its efforts to support stability in Syria and maintain regional security, focusing on preventing any attempt by ISIS to return to Syrian territory.

In a press statement before the European Union meeting in Brussels, Barrot said that Paris is committed to supporting international efforts to combat terrorism, stressing the importance of international coordination in this area to achieve effective results.

The French minister added that his country supports the ceasefire agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian Interim Government, emphasizing that the continuation of negotiations in this regard is a key factor in strengthening stability and achieving positive results on the ground.
