The birth of the "National Gathering in As-Suwaydia " was announced today from the Cultural Palace in As-Suwaydia, with a notable presence of civil figures and religious and social figures from across the province. This is a new and ambitious step towards establishing an organized political movement that reflects the aspirations of the people of As-Suwaydia.

This announcement came after months of intensive preparatory meetings that began in the southern countryside of As-Suwaydia and resulted in the formation of preparatory committees. Those in charge confirmed that they received support and blessings from His Eminence Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri, the spiritual leader of the community.

During the conference, the group announced the dissolution of all previous committees and the launch of field tours to introduce the project to various villages and towns across the governorate. The group was described as a "dream project" for the people of As-Suwaydia.

Retired professor and founding committee member Rifaat Gharzeddine told ANHA's agency, "We are working to build a unified, democratic Syria. The project aims to integrate national forces into a comprehensive entity, free from sectarianism and conflict, so that the people of As-Suwaydia can play a real role in political decision-making."

Participant Hind Abu Alwan emphasized, "The goal of the conference is Syrian unity, social development, and ensuring security and stability."

At the conclusion of the conference, the establishment of the "Political Authority in As-Suwaydia " was announced as an organizational umbrella for the group, aiming to frame political action and coordinate future efforts effectively.
