Transitional Government forces continue to hold 17-year-old Emad Aref Horo, a resident of Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, for the second consecutive day after his disappearance while heading towards the New Syriac neighborhood in Aleppo. His family holds the Transitional Government responsible for his safety and demands his immediate release.

The fate of the young Kurdish man, Emad Aref Horo, remains unknown for the second consecutive day following his abduction by the Transitional Government forces in the New Syrian neighborhood of Aleppo.

Emad is originally from the village of Kamrouk in the city of Mabatli, in the Afrin countryside occupied by Turkey, and currently resides in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo. He was abducted on Tuesday, following a Transitional Government assault on the neighborhood on Monday, October 6.

The abduction occurred while Emad was leaving Sheikh Maqsoud heading toward the New Syriac neighborhood near Khashan Pharmacy, where he was stopped at a security checkpoint. His mobile phone was searched, and Kurdish symbols were found, after which he was taken to the checkpoint’s headquarters. No news has emerged regarding his whereabouts since then.

It is worth noting that Emad works as a barber in Sheikh Maqsoud, while his family demands knowledge of his fate, holding the Transitional Government in Syria fully responsible for his safety.
