Follow-Up on electricity situation in Hasakah, preparations for integrating agricultural institutions

The Governor of Al-Hasakah, Engineer Nour al-Din Ahmed, along with several officials in the energy sector, met with a delegation from the Ministry of Energy in the Interim Government, as part of efforts to assess the status of the electricity sector and improve the level of services provided to citizens.

The delegation included the Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity Affairs, Engineer Omar Shakrouq, the Director General of the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Corporation, and the Director of the Operational Operations Unit for the Eastern Region.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the state of electricity supply in the governorate and the most challenges facing the network, particularly low production and the deterioration of some transmission and distribution lines.

The delegation also conducted a field tour that included a number of transformer stations and distribution centers to assess their technical readiness and performance levels, in addition to evaluating maintenance and technical support needs, with the aim of developing emergency plans to improve the stability of the electrical current.

A preparatory meeting for the integration committee, in line with the structure adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture, was also held today in the governorate building, attended by relevant officials from directorates and related departments, and in the presence of the Governor of Al-Hasakah, Engineer Nour al-Din Ahmed.

Attendees emphasized the importance of joint coordination and intensifying efforts to ensure the success of the integration process, in a way that contributes to developing institutional work and improving efficiency in the agricultural sector.
