First dialogue forum of Young Women’s Union kicks off in Raqqa

The first dialogue forum of the Union is being held in the city of Raqqa.

Nearly 100 personalities and representatives from (the Young Women’s Union, the Women’s Office in the Syrian Democratic Council, the Women’s Office in the Future Syria Party, the Women’s Office in the Democratic Union Party, and representatives of the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria) participate in the meeting, alongside personalities from Tunisia, Palestine, Lebanon, Shingal and Damascus via Zoom.

The forum discusses 5 main topics: (patriotism, will, free thought, organization, beauty, and morals).

The work of the dialogue forum began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs. Then an opening speech was delivered on behalf of the Young Women’s Union by the Union member Ronahi Ahmed, in which she welcomed the attendees and said: “This forum comes within the framework of support for the freedom campaign of leader Ocalan, who defended women.”

Ahmed pointed to the effective role of the young group of all components, since the beginning of the revolution in Rojava and NE Syria (July 19, 2012), indicating that this forum indicates the extent of “our strength and unity.”

The forum, which will last one day, will continue with discussion of the topics and a final statement.
