First activities of March 8 kicks off
Today, the first event of March 8 (International Women's Day) began with the opening of an exhibition of handicrafts and heritage pieces in the Darbasiyah district of Jazera Canton.
Within the framework of the series of activities of March 8 (International Women’s Day), which was launched by the joint activities platform of women’s movements and organizations in the NE Syria yesterday, under the slogan, “With the free will of women, we end the policies of genocide, occupation, and isolation,” the Martyr Perwer Zilan School, located in the Darbasiyah district, organized today an exhibition of handicrafts and heritage pieces.
Hundreds of female students and teachers, wearing their popular costumes, participated in the exhibition, in addition to the school administration in the Darbasiyah district, and the presence of the co-chair of the Education Body in Jazira Canton.
The exhibition held in the district included handicrafts, heritage pieces, works made of clay and wood, and some paintings made by female students and school teachers.
At the exhibition, the school administration honored the outstanding students in the school, and the Education Body in Jazera Canton distributed appreciation awards to the outstanding students.
