Fawza Youssef: People of NE Syria expressed honorable position

The member of the presidential body of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Fawza Youssef, spoke to ANHA agency about the position expressed by the people of NE Syria on the 25th anniversary of the international conspiracy that targeted leader Abdullah Ocalan in 1999.

Youssef saluted the people’s position on the anniversary of the conspiracy, and said: “I salute the position of the peoples of the democratic nation regarding the Kurds, Arabs, Assyrians, Turkmen, and Circassians. The peoples of NE Syria have shown an honorable position, and the conspiracy has not succeeded.Therefore, we congratulate everyone who participated in Anti-Isolation events."

Ongoing conspiracy in other ways

 Youssef said“The conspiracy continues in many ways. Through the isolation imposed on leader Apo, they want to pave the way for the false leadership to spread discord between the Kurds and Arabs, and to turn peoples against each other. They want to displace our people and spread despair among them by targeting the infrastructure. But our people expressed their message that this new conspiracy will also fail."

Everyone must fight for the leader's physical freedom

Youssef pointed out that the campaign to collect signatures for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is a method of struggle, and she said: “We must put pressure on the relevant forces. We must urge institutions such as the European Committee against Torture, the European Council and others to abide by its laws. We must say that leader Apo's cause is the cause of the people and we are committed to this cause. Therefore, our people must participate in this signature campaign on a large scale."

Fawza Youssef, called for escalating the struggle by saying that: “We must escalate our struggle for the freedom of Leader Apo and read his books. Leader Apo’s ideas illuminate the path to a free life, We must build our personality and renew it on a daily basis through his ideas."
