Turkish occupation mercenaries kidnap young man from Janders district

The Human Rights Organization - Afrin reported that the mercenaries of the so-called “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” affiliated with the Turkish occupation kidnapped, on February 15, the young man Muhammad Ahmed Karkir, known as “Hamouda al-Hallaq,” 25 years old, from the city of Janders,  Al-Tahtani neighborhood.

According to the organization, the young man, Muhammad Karkir, was taken by mercenaries to the notorious Eska prison, which is run by the Turkish occupation intelligence.

The mercenaries demanded that the kidnapper's family pay a sum of 2,000 US dollars in exchange for his release, and threatened to charge him with the crime of terrorism if the ransom was not paid.

Afrin, occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries since March 2018, has witnessed crimes against its population, including “murder, rape, looting, kidnapping... in exchange for ransom,” in addition to resettlement of Syrians forcibly displaced from Turkish territory, instead of the residents of Afrin, who were forcibly displaced after the occupation.
