Farhad Shami: Turkish occupation state wants to create fake victories

The Turkish occupation escalated its attacks on the regions of North and East Syria, especially during the last two days, targeting service and civilian facilities, resulting in the martyrdom of 8 citizens and the injury of 13 others.

Commenting on the attacks, the director of the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Farhad Shami, told ANHA agency: “During these attacks, no fighter from our forces was injured or martyred.” He added: "The Turkish occupation state is taking advantage of the international silence, especially the international coalition and Russia, and is targeting civilian facilities and our populated areas."

Shami pointed out that the Turkish occupation state wants to create imaginary victories at the expense of intimidating civilians in the North and East region of Syria, stressing that it wants to export its internal crisis abroad.

The director of the SDF Media Center also stressed that the Syrian Democratic Forces are not satisfied with the position of the International Coalition regarding the attacks targeting the region, and said: “It must clarify its position, as these attacks affect our joint operations in confronting ISIS mercenaries and affect the attempts to establish stability that it is our forces working on.”

At the same time, he renewed the pledge of the Syrian Democratic Forces to protect the people of the region and confront all attacks effectively, and added: “The Syrian Democratic Forces remain in their position. Just as they protected their people from ISIS mercenaries, terrorism, and the Turkish occupation, they are committed to protecting their people by confronting all attacks effectively and will not commit to silence about it.

He concluded his speech by saying: “These attacks are an attack on all components of the region and the Middle East, because this occupation is a burden on the entire Middle East, and the Kurdistanian people, in its four parts and Europe, must raise their opposing voice against them, as the main means that can thwart these attacks is the voice of this people.”
