The explosion took place on Friday, causing panic and fear among residents of the area after a cache of ammunition stored inside one of the homes exploded.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) , the blast was heard across wide areas of western Aleppo countryside, confirming the death of a child and another person, in addition to injuries among several others.

This incident came only hours after a similar event in the city of Homs, where dozens were injured when a rocket left over from the war exploded inside an abandoned military barracks, once again highlighting the dangers posed by unexploded ordnance and weapons depots located near residential areas.
