Examinations begin for preparatory, secondary certificates in Jazira, Kobani

Examinations for the secondary certificate (baccalaureate) under the Democratic Autonomous Administration curriculum began today across the cities of the Jazira Region. At the same time, preparatory certificate examinations under the former Syrian government curriculum, currently supervised by the Syrian Interim Government, also commenced. In Kobani, preparatory certificate examinations based on the Autonomous Administration curriculum likewise got underway.

QAMISHLO 

The Autonomous Administration examinations, conducted according to its approved educational system, are limited to external candidates (private students), while examinations based on the former Syrian government curriculum include both regular and private students.

A total of 2,860 private secondary-level students affiliated with the Autonomous Administration are sitting for the examinations in 11 centers distributed across Qamishlo, Hasakah, and Derik.

Meanwhile, the Media Office of the Directorate of Education in Hasakah Governorate reported that 14,425 students are taking the preparatory certificate examinations in 57 examination centers located in Qamishlo, Hasakah, Derik, Serê Kaniyê, Al-Shaddadi, and Tel Kocher. An additional 18 students are taking examinations for the Sharia preparatory stage in the same centers.

According to the examination schedule, twelfth-grade students (baccalaureate) in both the scientific and literary streams began taking Autonomous Administration curriculum exams today, while ninth-grade (preparatory certificate) examinations are scheduled to start on June 6.

In contrast, examinations for the preparatory and Sharia preparatory certificates under the former Syrian government curriculum also began today, while twelfth-grade examinations under that curriculum will start on June 6.

The examination process is being managed through joint committees comprising representatives from the Directorate of Education in Hasakah Governorate and the Education Authority of the Jazira Region, with the aim of supervising and organizing examinations at designated centers.

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) are responsible for securing examination centers, with patrols deployed in front of all testing locations.

Kobani 

In a related development, around 207 private preparatory-stage students following the Autonomous Administration curriculum began taking their examinations this morning at Martyr Sido School in the city of Kobani.
