Since Tuesday, Turkish-backed mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government have been launching attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zeid neighborhoods, resulting in the deaths of seven civilians, including two women, and injuries to 54 others, in addition to the destruction of homes.

The attacks escalated significantly starting at 3:00 PM, with mercenaries launching aerial bombardments using suicide drones and indiscriminate shelling of densely populated areas. They also attempted to advance, but the Internal Security Forces in the neighborhoods responded firmly to the attacks to protect the neighborhoods and their residents.

The Ministry of Defense of the Syrian Interim Government announced its attacks on the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods in a statement, claiming that all SDF positions were legitimate targets. This statement was published by the government's news agency earlier that day. Since then, the shelling of the neighborhoods has intensified.

The Internal Security Forces also thwarted the first infiltration attempt by the Syrian Interim Government's mercenaries at Castello Hill at 3:00 PM. The mercenaries used tanks in the attack, but the forces inflicted heavy losses on them, forcing them to flee and leave behind the bodies of their dead and destroyed equipment.

The indiscriminate shelling of the neighborhoods by the Syrian Interim Government's mercenaries continues.
