Emphasis on strengthening unity during mourning ceremony in Tirbespiye 

Today, residents of Tirbespiye and its surrounding villages, Kurds, Arabs, and Syriacs, along with representatives of the Autonomous Administration and political parties, gathered at the main mourning tent of the Directorate of Directorate of Fuel in the Jazira Canton to pay their respects to Nadia Al-Youssef, who was martyred due to health complications following surgery.

The ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs. It was followed by a speech from Hassan Kojer, Co-Vice President of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in NE Syria, who highlighted the great sacrifices made by the people of the region in combating terrorism and protecting Syria’s territorial unity. He affirmed the intermingling of the blood of all communities in the pursuit of a free and decentralized democratic system for all Syrians.

Next, Salma Khalil, an administrator at the Martyrs’ Families Council in Tirbespiye, spoke, renewing the pledge to protect the achievements of the martyrs and fulfill their goals in building a free democratic society.

The Co-President of the Democratic Society Movement, Ramzia Mohammed, also highlighted the pioneering role of women in the July 19 revolution, which served as a model of democracy and freedom in Syria and inspired movements worldwide.

Meanwhile, Talat Younis, Co-President of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party, stated that Syria is going through a sensitive phase requiring the strengthening of community unity and joint efforts to end occupation and build a decentralized democratic state for all its people.

Additionally, Juan Sko, Secretary of the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, delivered a speech on behalf of the martyr’s family, thanking the communities and the Autonomous Administration for their national duty toward the martyr, and reaffirming the commitment to continue the path of the martyrs and uphold the spirit of national unity.

The ceremony concluded with the reading of martyr Nadia Al-Youssef’s document, which was then presented to her family.
