At least eight people were killed in several areas of Syria over the past 24 hours in separate incidents ranging from explosions, stabbings, armed clashes, and assassinations, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

In the western countryside of Hama, a child died after a landmine left over from the war exploded in the town of Karnaz, while a young man was stabbed to death with a sharp object as a result of a dispute in the Al-Qusur neighborhood of Hama.

In the occupied city of Azaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo, a person died after being accidentally shot by his son, who was playing with a gun.

In the city of Hasaka, a young man was killed in an armed clash between two families in the western neighborhood of Al-Nashwa.

The Observatory reported the "assassination of the imam and preacher of the Al-Saleheen Mosque in Hama, Sheikh Muhammad al-Haj Yusuf, known as ‘Abu al-Baraa,’ after he was lured away by unknown gunmen."

In Homs, residents found the bodies of two young men from the "Murshidiyya sect" who had been executed by gunshots to the head in one of the abandoned buildings in the Bayada neighborhood.

In the Damascus countryside, a young man was killed by unknown gunmen who were traveling in a car near the pedestrian bridge on the Harasta highway.

These incidents once again highlight the deterioration of the security situation in various parts of the country, amid continuing violence and lawlessness.
