Economic Body rebuild Tishreen bakery in Raqqa

Continuation of the 2023 projects, the Economic Body of the Executive Council in Raqqa continues the work of rebuilding the Tishreen bakery, which was considered one of the largest bakeries in the city of Raqqa.

During the campaign to liberate the city of Raqqa from ISIS mercenaries, the reserve Tishreen bakery was completely destroyed, and in order to relieve pressure on the other bakeries, the Economic Body worked to rebuild it.

The supervisor of rebilding Tishreen bakery project in the city of Raqqa, Muhammad Maloud, said: “We began construction of the Tishreen bakery in mid-August 2023, and it is scheduled to be completed in the middle of this March.”

The bakery will operate with 2 production lines, and the production capacity of the bakery will reach 20 to 25 tons of bread on a daily basis, and it will provide it to quarter of the city of Raqqa.

Muhammad Maloud confirmed, “After opening the bakery, we will operate a third line in it, in order to relieve the pressure.”

It is worth noting that the Economic Body in the Executive Council of Raqqa Canton had previously worked to rebuild 3 bakeries: Al-Firdaws, 23 February, and Al-Tamueen bakery.
