East Kurdistan Alliance addresses message to Azerbaijani and Turkish people and region countries

Late yesterday evening, the Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan addressed a message to the people of Iran and freedom-seeking forces, emphasizing that strengthening cooperation between democratic forces and diverse nationalities is a fundamental pillar for building a free and just future in Iran, according to Roj News Agency.

The message read:

“To the oppressed peoples and freedom-seeking forces throughout Iran, the Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan, at this critical juncture in the struggle, drawing upon the historical legacy and principles of the Kurdish national and democratic movement, and recognizing its historical responsibility in light of the delicate circumstances facing Iran, reaffirms the necessity of strengthening ties and unity among all freedom-seeking forces and oppressed nationalities in Iran, in order to overcome tyranny and build a democratic future.

We believe that achieving a stable future for Iran will only be possible through the establishment of a democratic system based on the official recognition of the national rights of all peoples, the consolidation of justice and equality, and the guarantee of fundamental freedoms for all citizens. Based on this objective, the Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan declares its readiness to cooperate and coordinate with all democratic political and civil forces to build a free, democratic, and multi-ethnic Iran

To our brothers and sisters of the Azerbaijani people:

We are all aware of this historical fact: Azerbaijanis and Kurds have lived side by side throughout history in numerous cities and regions, particularly in Azerbaijan and Kurdistan. Therefore, the future of these regions must be built on the foundations of cooperation, joint governance, and the guarantee of equal rights for all their constituent groups. In this context, the Alliance of Parties of Iranian Kurdistan supports the establishment of mechanisms for joint local governance in mixed areas, reflecting the demographic composition and the will of their people.

The Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan believes that lasting security and stability can only be achieved when all residents of the region, including Kurds and Turks in Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and other areas, enjoy equal political, cultural, and linguistic rights, and when their local affairs are managed through responsible and accountable democratic institutions.

We extend our hand in cooperation to the Azerbaijani Turkish people and their political forces, and we declare our readiness for dialogue, coordination, and joint action to establish a mechanism that guarantees security and stability in shared areas. The future of the region must be based on the principles of coexistence, mutual respect, and equal participation for all its groups

We also affirm, based on the historical ties and social relations between the Kurdish and Azerbaijani peoples, that the future of relations between these two peoples must be founded on dialogue, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. In this context, we reiterate our commitment to the letter and spirit of the Friendship Agreement between the Republic of Kurdistan and the Azerbaijani National Government, considering it a roadmap and a symbol of cooperation and understanding between the democratic movements in Kurdistan and Azerbaijan.

The Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan believes that strengthening cooperation among democratic forces and expanding dialogue among different nationalities to build joint mechanisms for just coexistence constitutes one of the fundamental pillars for achieving a free and just future for all the peoples of Iran. In this regard, it welcomes all forms of cooperation and efforts in this direction.

With regard to neighboring peoples and countries, the Alliance of Political Forces of Iranian Kurdistan emphasizes the necessity of establishing good neighborly relations and respecting legitimate mutual interests with all countries in the region. It believes that regional peace and stability can only be achieved through dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect among peoples and states.
