Due to security conditions... Kurdish Red Crescent postpones aid delivery to Syrian coast

The Kurdish Red Crescent stated in a statement: "As part of its urgent response to humanitarian relief appeals, the Kurdish Red Crescent has completed preparations to send 3,000 food baskets to residents affected by the series of fires that have ravaged large areas of the Syrian coast."

The Kurdish Red Crescent noted in the statement that it had obtained preliminary approval from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Damascus to deliver aid to the Syrian coast.

The Red Crescent stated in its statement regarding the postponement of aid delivery: "The new security conditions on some roads leading to the area prevented the distribution process from being carried out on time, forcing relief teams to temporarily postpone the delivery of aid to ensure its safe and effective delivery to those in need."

The Kurdish Red Crescent affirmed in its statement its continued coordination with the relevant authorities and its readiness to complete the distribution process as soon as security conditions improve.
