Firat Agency reported that a delegation from the Druze and Alawite communities visited the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Canada, aiming to strengthen solidarity among peoples and develop the foundations for joint struggle.

The two sides exchanged ideas about future joint projects, cultural activities, and solidarity initiatives.

During the visit, both parties emphasized the importance of taking a common stance against the practices targeting Kurdish, Druze, and Alawite communities, stressing the need to foster a spirit of unity in the peoples’ struggle for freedom and democracy.

The delegation also discussed with officials from the Democratic Kurdish Community Center the upcoming Freedom March for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, scheduled for November 2, as well as activities marking the World Kobani Solidarity Day on November 1.

Participants called on all groups and communities, particularly the Druze and Alawite ones, to take part in these events and collectively raise their demands for freedom.

In a joint statement issued at the end of the visit, the parties affirmed that “strengthening the historic bonds of friendship between the Kurdish, Druze, and Alawite peoples is of great importance for peace in the region and for a shared future among peoples,” noting that “mutual dialogue, solidarity, and joint struggle will continue and further develop.”
