Dozens of Aleppo Youth kidnapped, falsely shown as fighters

The Media Center of the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo announced that mercenaries of the Provisional Government kidnapped dozens of young men from the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsood and Al-Ashrafieh. After forcibly separating them from their families, the kidnappers presented them in the media as fighters of the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo, which the forces strongly deny.

The statement said:

“As part of systematic crimes committed by factions and militias of the Damascus government, these militias kidnapped dozens of civilian youths, forcibly separating them from their families while leaving Sheikh Maqsood. They then displayed them in the media, falsely presenting them as members of our forces.

This blatant criminal act reflects a systematic approach of falsifying facts, kidnapping civilians, and using them as propaganda tools to cover up crimes of displacement, shelling, and terror. This is a direct repetition of crimes previously committed by these factions in the coastal areas and Sweida.

We confirm that the abducted individuals are entirely civilians. We hold the Damascus government and its factions fully responsible for their lives and safety. We call on the international community to take legal and moral responsibility, immediately investigate these violations, publicly condemn them, and hold the perpetrators accountable as war criminals.”
