Director Zuhair Qanoua announces his resignation Syrian Artists Syndicate

Syrian director Zuhair Qanoua announced his resignation from the board of the Syrian Artists Syndicate, without disclosing details or reasons for his decision, while affirming that he will remain a defender of artists and the syndicate.

In a statement published on his Facebook page, Qanoua explained that his decision came after careful consideration and was accepted without going into administrative details. He indicated that the next phase requires him to focus more on his artistic work and exert more effort in the creative field.

He noted that the syndicate and the artistic community are going through a "complex" phase, emphasizing that he has been and remains a defender of artists and the syndicate, without revealing broader reasons behind his resignation.

He added that he worked alongside members of the central council during the past months, and they were able to achieve steps that gave him a sense of satisfaction despite some challenges.

The decision to resign comes at the same time as Qanou’ is preparing to complete filming his new series “Me, Him and Them”, at a time when he continues his artistic activity in terms of directing and production.
