Dignitaries of Arab tribes: Kurds, Arabs are interconnected social fabric

 In light of the acceleration of events in Syria after the fall of the Baath regime, and the continued attempts of the occupying Turkish state to expand the scope of its occupation by attacking areas of NE Syria, the occupying state seeks to spread discord between Kurds and Arabs using special warfare methods.

 The notable of the Al-Bu Sheikh clan from the Bakara tribe, Adnan Al-Jadaan, said: "Sedition is asleep and may God curse whoever awakens it." We are components of NE Syria, and we have been connected for thousands of years."

 Al-Jadaan added: "We are trying as much as possible as dignitaries, tribal sheikhs and intellectuals to preserve civil peace for all components. We must stand in the face of anyone who tries to destabilize the security and stability of the region, and join forces to deter these attempts."

 Al-Jadaan stressed their readiness to sacrifice, saying: "We are ready to sacrifice alongside our other components in order to preserve our dignity, our land and our people with their various components."

 In his message to the tribal elders, he stressed the need for awareness, saying: "Everyone, especially the tribal elders, is required to educate society and reject sedition."

 For his part, Ahmed Al-Zahrawi, a social figure and retired teacher from the Al-Bakara clan in the Al-Nashwa Al-Gharbiyya neighborhood in the city of Hasaka, said: “The social bond between the Kurds and Arabs is not hidden from anyone. We call it very clearly (Khal and Khawarzi - meaning uncle and nephew), which is an expression that indicates the strong brotherhood that unites the Kurds and Arabs.”

Al-Zahrawi referred to attempts to spread strife, saying: “Many parties tried to spread strife between the two components, but they failed because of the historical connection between them. This relationship is not a product of the moment, but rather the result of centuries of coexistence.”

Al-Zahrawi warned by saying: “Strife is a fire, and it will burn everyone. We here cannot live without the Kurds, just as the Kurds cannot live without the Arabs. Our life is shared and has no meaning without this connection.”

 In the same context, Muhammad Ahmad Al-Ali, one of the notables of the Al-Tufaihi clan, said: “Thanks to the good people, tribal leaders, and clerics, we were able to quell the seditions that external parties worked on in the past years, and we will continue to overcome attempts of new seditions.”

 He added: “The brotherhood between the Kurds and Arabs is not new. It is a deep-rooted historical relationship, as we are one people carrying the Syrian identity. We will preserve this brotherhood with all our strength, and we will not allow anyone to separate us.”

 Al-Ali concluded by saying: “ Solidarity between the components is the only way to maintain the stability of NE Syria.”
