Derik residents demand leader Ocalan's physical freedom 

On Thursday, hundreds of residents of Derik city and its countryside gathered at al-Hurriya (The Freedom) Square in the city to organize a march, demanding the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, holding the pictures of the leader and banners with "With the achievement of the physical freedom of the leader Apo, we guarantee the democratic Kurdish unity" written on.

The march launched with the slogans that saluted the leader's resistance on Imrali Island, and demanded his physical freedom, proceeding on Kornich Street.

Arriving at the center of the Kornich Street, the residents held a minute of silence. Then, Mohamed Abdel Rahim delivered a speech on behalf of the Syrian Intuitive for Leader Abdullah Ocalan's Freedom, in which he demanded the leader's release and the achievement of his physical freedom.

Mohamed Abdel Rahim noted that the continued isolation imposed on the leader is an isolation imposed on humanity. He added, "They want to undermine the Kurdish people's will through isolation; however, the leader's resistance and struggle for the sake of achieving peace for the Kurdish people have foiled the international schemes seeking to undermine the people's will."

Mohamed Abdel Rahim indicated that by virtue of the leader's instructions and the peace and democratic society process he launched more than a year ago, the scheme of exterminating the Kurdish people in Rojava was foiled, so we must escalate struggle until his physical freedom is achieved."

The march ended with chanting the slogans "No life without the leader."
