The Future Syria Party (Aleppo Council) co-chair, Muhammad Ghrer, began by sending his condolences to all the Free Syria martyrs and most especially the martyred Secretary-General Hevrin Khalaf.

He said in this regard: "We are astonished at the appointment of so-called Abu Hatem Shaqra as commander of the 86th Division. We of the Future Syria Party condemn the appointment and consider it a blatant human rights abuse, for he was the primary cause of Hevrin Khalaf's martyrdom."

The killer has to be held accountable.

Ghrer designated the crime as a "shocking act of terrorism," a barbarian attack on the elements of northeastern Syria in the person of the martyred Hevrin, an armless female politician who was met with fatal bullets by free speech.

At the tail end of his address, Ghrer promised all elements of society to continue exposing the criminals and killers who had caused the Syrian carnage. He also insisted that these criminals be held accountable rather than appointed to key positions.

He added, "The killer is not rewarded, but rather held accountable, as a small part of the transitional justice that the new Syria aspires to."

Ensuring Women's Rights in the Constitution

Consequently, Amira Ali, a Future Syria Party Women's Council member, expressed that she completely denounces the appointment of convicted mercenary Hatem Abu Shaqra, who has been found guilty of numerous crimes, including mutilation of the bodies, rape, and terrorism.

Amira Ali said, "This mercenary resulted in the martyrdom of our party's Secretary-General, Hevrin Khalaf, and we consider this appointment a disregard of all international laws and conventions, including those that protect justice and human rights."

Amira concluded her speech by declaring the party's resolve on the issue of women's assuming their first place in future Syria as well as ensuring their rights in the new constitution.

A Long Record of Violations

Hanaa Kardoush, administrative office manager of the Future Syria Party, has condemned the decision of the Damascus government hiring mercenary Hatem Abu Shaqra, terming it to be against the interests of the Syrian people and especially Syrian women.

Hanaa described the crimes committed by Hevrin Khalaf's killer who has an extensive background in crime and wrongdoing in Aleppo and Turk-held areas and its mercenaries. She stated, "One of the most horrific crimes this mercenary has committed was against martyr Hevrin Khalaf, who sought to create a free Syria. She had new ideas that countered the thinking of this extremist mercenary and his coalition. He is a danger to the new Syria."

In conclusion to her speech, Hana called for the mercenary Hatem Abu Shaqra to be sent to the International Criminal Court and be held accountable for all his atrocities against the Syrian people.
