A delegation from the Syrian Interim Government, headed by the Director of the Prisons Administration, Ziad Abu Ras, visited the central prison in the city of Derik today as part of the ongoing process of integrating institutions, in accordance with the January 29 agreement.

The prison administration, headed by Arin Akram, welcomed the visiting delegation, who then toured the central prison to inspect its various sections and general conditions.

Yesterday, a delegation from the Ministry of Justice of the Syrian Interim Government visited the Governor of al-Hasakah, Noureddine Ahmed, as part of the ongoing process of integrating judicial institutions in the governorate, in accordance with the January 29 agreement.

The delegation also visited the Social Justice Council in al-Hasakah city, and inspected Ghweiran prison accompanied by the Office of Justice and Reform Affairs in the Autonomous Administration, where they learned about the reality of prison management and its work mechanisms.
