On April 7, the Jazera Energy Body began operating a mobile power station in the city of Darbasiyah, with a capacity of 20 gigavolts, in preparation for supplying the Alouk water station and working to rehabilitate damaged power lines.

In the same context, a delegation comprising representatives from the Jazera Autonomous Administration's Energy Body, the Interim Government, and the Red Cross visited the Alouk water station as part of efforts to restart its operations and ensure its continued functioning.

The Alouk water station, located in the city of Serêkaniyê, is the main source of drinking water for the residents of Hasaka city and its surrounding countryside, including the Serêkaniyê and Washokani camps. Restarting the station is therefore vital to ensuring water access for thousands of residents.

According to sources within the Hasaka Water Directorate who spoke to our agency, they have not yet been informed of any concrete steps being taken to restart the station.

These sources also reported that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) had pledged to fund the Alouk station for three years, along with promises to carry out maintenance and restart operations. However, these commitments have not yet been fulfilled.
