Deir ez-Zor dignitaries: we support SDF; uphold Syrian unity

Dignitaries from the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor emphasized the importance of enhancing security and stability and supporting the path toward a political solution in Syria. They stressed the need to unify efforts between the Autonomous Administration and the Transitional Government of Syria in a manner that serves the higher national interest and preserves the unity of the country.

Dhib Khalif Dawood, the sheikh of al-Marasma tribe in the town of al-Baghouz, explained that the current stage requires collective efforts to protect national achievements. He affirmed that the people of al-Baghouz maintain a steadfast stance in supporting the Autonomous Administration and its decisions aimed at serving the public interest.

He noted that the local community is committed to a political solution based on dialogue and mutual respect, rejecting wars, repression, and foreign interference.

Dawood called on the Transitional Government of Syria to act with national responsibility and to avoid violations against citizens in order to preserve the unity and social fabric of the country.

He emphasized that active participation in the political process within the framework of Syrian unity represents a strategic choice for the people of the region.

For his part, Eid Jabara, a resident of Abu Hardoub, said that the current reality requires continuous coordination between civil and military forces to ensure security and improve public services.

He pointed out that recent meetings with the Syrian Democratic Forces addressed political and service-related issues, including agricultural development and supporting livelihoods.

Jabara added that achieving security is the cornerstone of any successful development project, affirming the residents’ commitment to supporting all national initiatives aimed at stability and unity of the country.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Hawish al-Sultan, the sheikh of the al-Sha’itat tribe in Gharanij, stressed the necessity of solidarity and joint action between the Transitional Government and the Autonomous Administration to rebuild affected areas and consolidate political and economic stability.

He explained that recent discussions focused on agricultural and service-related issues and on improving living conditions.

Al-Sultan concluded by emphasizing that a comprehensive political solution is the optimal path to ensuring Syria’s territorial and societal unity. He reaffirmed the region’s commitment to the choice of peace, away from conflict and internal strife, in order to safeguard the future of coming generations.
